Okay… there’s epic vintage, and then there’s a 1920s antique cotton blouse with original mother of pearl buttons and exquisite dainty hand sewn details vintage. This is the later, if there was any confusion.

This stunning blouse nearly stopped my heart when I found her! The lace inserts on the front and sleeve panels are gorgeous, and it has the perfect waist tie to cinch in at the front or the back. The collar is absolutely sweet. This piece was hand sewn with lots of love and was very well taken care of over the years. It looks sweet tucked in, worn loose, tied up or worn under a pinafore style dress.

There are no tags attached to indicate a brand, material or size, but it feels like cotton. This piece is in very good condition considering its age. There was a repair made to the left sleeve near the cuff, and there are a couple of tiny holes, and a couple of pin sized stains. The tie at the back has loose seams where it attaches to the blouse. I’ve shown these imperfections in the last photos. Incredibly for its age, the armpit areas do not show discolouration - I’m telling you, grandparents just knew how to care for clothes!

Please note: This is a rare antique blouse. It is very delicate, although still very wearable. Please take extra care in washing this piece gently, by hand, in cool water and laying flat to dry. If you would like repairs made to this piece, please reach out via email.
